Set Custom Ringtone and notification sound in android
Android is a awesome platform which can able to customize everything in it. Bored of using system notification sounds in your android mobile for any application. In this article, we will discuss about setting a custom ringtone for your android mobile. You can use any mp3 files or other supported music files as a ringtone for your mobile. I created this article, because I have faced a problem in my Samsung Galaxy Trend. I like Hike jingle sound from Hike Messenger application. So I download the mp3 file from the internet. After that I will notice that there is no option for setting custom notification tone. Then I found a option in ES File Explorer, which is a famous file manager for android platforms. Now let’s see about it.

Trick 😉  For Setting Custom Notification Tone:

         For setting a custom ringtone or notification tone, install ES File Explorer from play store. Lets see a small introduction about this app,

  • This app is a free version which is available in the playstore. 
  • This application has in-built .zip or .rar file extractor.
  • It also has root explorer (only for rooted mobiles), for installing or un-installing apps.
  • Application UI is more attractive.
  • You can also share file to cloud network using this app.
  • Recycle Bin also available.
  • Gesture option is available.

          After installing this application, open it. In the search for the music file, which you desired to set as notification. Now open this file using “ES Media Player” as show in the below screenshot.

          Then click the more button in the right top corner of the application as shown in the screenshot. Then a Pull down menu appears, in which you will see “Set Ringtone” option.

          Now a another dialogue box appears as shown in the below screenshot. Now click ringtone or notification or alarm tone as you desired.
