Get a computer connected to a Wi-Fi network. Then go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center. On a Windows computer, you can tap Windows key + C, then click Search and find Network and Sharing Center.

Click on Change Adapter Settings in the left sidebar. Right-click on the Wi-Fi network you are using. Then click on Status. Click on Wireless Properties. Click on the Security tab. Now you will be able to see the name of the Wi-Fi network and the hidden password. Checking on Show Characters will show your saved password.

If you do not have a Windows or Mac computer that has saved Wi-Fi passwords, or if you’re trying to retrieve the password via your phone or tablet, you can find your saved password through a router.

This will only work if you are connected to the router’s network. Remember that you can also connect to the router via an Ethernet cable. You cannot know the password unless the tablet and mobile phone are connected to a Wi-Fi network.

How to Recover a Lost WiFi Password from ES File Explorer File Manager

For this also your mobile phone should be rooted and download an application called ES File Explorer File Manager. Open Device storage in ES File Explorer. There will be a folder named Data, open it. Then there will be a folder named Misc, open it. Then open the WiFi folder.

There will be a file named wpa_suppicant.cofig inside the WiFi folder, open it with ES File Explorer. Now you will get some codes in front of these codes will be written as ssid. The name in front of this ssid is your WiFi name and psk will be written below it and the name in front of it will be your WiFi password. If none of the solutions work, you may need to reset the router.

Do not do this unless you are able to connect any devices to the network.

Resetting the router is the last option, as you will need to reset the entire network to restore your internet connection.
