DC Shunt Motor Speed Control Circuit

DC Shunt Motor Speed Control (Armature control method).
Field Rheostat should be kept in the minimum resistance position at the time of starting and stopping the motor.

Armature Rheostat should be kept in the maximum resistance position at the time of starting and stopping the motor.

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM:-

Check the maximum position of armature rheostat and minimum position of field rheostat.

Connections are made as below the circuit diagram, Triggering pulse from the trigger circuit.

Field current is fixed to various values and for each fixed value, by varying the armature rheostat, speed is noted for various voltages across the armature.

Field Control:

Armature voltage is fixed to various values and for each fixed value, by adjusting the field rheostat, speed is noted for various field currents.

Bringing field rheostat to minimum position and armature rheostat to maximum position.

  1. sir m wrking with dc motor in my project ut dont know how can i chnge the speed of it depending on the nees for fg 10 rpm or 20 rpm7051
    i want a circuit diagram for it using microcontroller
